Your 2012-2013 Executive Team.

 

Dylan McGuire
President
After graduating from the University of Western Ontario, Dylan spent 3 years working in corporate accounting and treasury for global technology manufacturer Celestica. During this time he completed all levels of the CFA program. With the goal of transitioning into a career in investment banking he began his MBA at Rotman. This summer, Dylan worked within the Investment Banking Division of Barclays. He will be joining Morgan Stanley's investment banking team upon graduation from Rotman. In his spare time Dylan enjoys playing golf, squash and hockey as a member of the Rotman hockey team.
Gaurav Kapoor
Executive Vice-President
Gaurav has an undergraduate degree in Commerce and has spent over 7 years in the financial services industry. He worked for 3 years in investment banking and another 4 years as a Project Manager for major US banks, where he was instrumental in setting up their operations in India. Gaurav worked at RBC Capital Markets over the summer in their investment banking group (M&A) and will be joining the leadership program at RBC after graduation.
Rosalia Tan
VP Internal
Upon completion of her Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University, Rosalia worked at CIBC for three years and was part of the Corporate Credit Products, Diversified Industries team. At CIBC, Rosalia was involved in corporate lending to Canadian institutions. Rosalia completed all three levels of the CFA examinations, and will be spending this summer with CIBC's Investment Banking division in their Diversified Industries team.
Girish Chhatwani
VP External

After completing Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto Girish worked for Schlumberger Oilfield Services as an exploration engineer and gained experience nationally and internationally over five years. Through his work in the energy sector he developed an interest in finance and decided to pursue his MBA at Rotman with the goal of switching to a finance related role. He will be working in RBC’s Investment Banking division as a member of their Global Energy group over the summer of 2012. 

Ollie Primak
VP Finance
After working in the financial industry for the last seven years, including positions in Wealth Management, Risk Management and Performance Analytics at Manulife Asset Management, Ollie Primak has enrolled in his MBA to pursue a career in Capital Markets.  In his first year at Rotman, Ollie was a first year RFA Associate and involved in many of the RFA events and competitions including being part of the winning team for the CIBC Investment Banking Competition. He is a CFA Charterholder and currently holds an ongoing Teaching Assistant position with the Marquee Group.
Ian Sin
Head, Investment Banking
After completing a Masters in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, Ian spent 4 years at IBM as a software engineer. At Rotman, he was a First Year Associate for the RFA and was part of the winning team for the CIBC Equity Research Competition. Ian spent the summer in the Metals & Mining group at BMO Capital Markets. On his spare time, Ian enjoys playing soccer.
Ankur Khurana
Head, Research

Ankur completed a degree in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo, and then spent 5 years in various technology consulting roles. First, as a Technology Consultant for Deloitte, and then as a Business Consultant for BMO. This summer, Ankur will be working on the trading floor at RBC Capital Markets on the FX Options desk.

Andre Ayotte
Head, Sales & Trading

Originally from Montreal, Andre Jr. Ayotte moved to Toronto in 2011 to pursue an MBA at Rotman School of Management and to continue a career in the field of Finance. Prior to Rotman, he studied International Business at McGill University and upon graduation, Andre Jr. began to work for National Bank of Canada as a Director in the commercial banking team. He eventually transferred to the international department at National Bank where he worked as an International Trade Manager. Upon completion of his first MBA year, Andre Jr. worked as a Sales & Trading Associate for a leading Canadian financial institution where he sat at the institutional Foreign Exchange sales desk for the summer 2012.

Ali Garshasbi
Director

After completing a computer engineering degree, Ali worked in IT industry developing software for financial institutes for six years. Ali then returned to Rotman to pursue an MBA, and a career in finance. He spent his summer at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan in the Tactical Asset Allocations group. Ali is a passionate sports fan and a certified soccer referee.

Amar Leekha
Director
Amar studied Finance and International Business at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia.  Prior to his MBA, Amar worked in the finance industry for 6 years.   His career started first in Commercial Banking with RBC, then to Corporate Banking and Corporate Credit in Calgary, Alberta, with ATB Financial.  This summer, Amar is working with Scotiabank in their rotation program which includes Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets.
Colin Gray
Director
After obtaining his business degree from Saint Francis Xavier University, Colin worked at Deloitte Moscow and then at RBC for two years as an account manager.  After completing level I of the CFA program, Colin enrolled at Rotman in order to pursue a career in capital markets.  Colin will be working at TD Securities in the Corporate Credit Group this summer, and plans to continue working in finance upon graduation.
Gaurav Bhide
Director

After completing his Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Toronto, Gaurav worked as an ASIC Design & Layout Engineer for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). Desiring a broader knowledge base and a career change, Gaurav left AMD after 4 years to pursue his MBA at Rotman with the goal of switching into finance. This summer Gaurav will be working at BMO Capital Markets as an Equity Research Associate. Gaurav is a level III candidate in the CFA program.

Ny Baez
Director

After completing his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University, Ny spent 6 years working within the financial services industry in New York City; the last 4 years at investment manager Millennium Partners where he supported the Fixed Income trading group. This summer, Ny is working within the Private Fixed Income Investments group at Sun Life Financial.  He hopes to continue a career in investment management upon graduation from Rotman.

Vincent Lam
Director
Vincent completed a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Finance from the University of British Columbia. After graduation, he did corporate finance in a Chinese private enterprise, successfully bringing the company public on NASDAQ by raising 100 mil USD capital. This summer, Vincent interned in the corporate banking division of China Construction Bank in Hong Kong, where he supported the treasury sales desk to provide FX products and hedging advisory services to corporate clients.
Maryam Mohammadi
Director

Maryam studied mechanical engineering at the University of Toronto. Prior to her MBA, Maryam worked in the financial industry for four years, focusing primarily on financial advising and corporate and commercial credit risk management. Maryam has completed the three levels of the CFA program and is one of the Heather L. Main Memorial Scholarship recipients. She will spend her summer as an associate at Scotiabank in their Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets rotation program.

Poria Kanozi
Director (Morning MBA)

After completing a degree in Economics & Mathematics from the University of Toronto, Poria spent 3 years as a Project Manager/Internal Consultant with a boutique engineering consulting firm, focusing on Oil & Gas projects. Prior to that he was a Compliance Analyst at State Street; currently he is with the Project Management Office of AEGON Canada. He is interested in pursuing a career in capital markets after graduation.

Rohit Gandhi
Director (Evening MBA)
Rohit works as an IT Manager for TD Wealth Management. Prior to that, he has worked as an IT Project Manager for a number of companies in both US and Canada. Rohit has a Masters degree in Computer Science and a Bachelors of Electronics Engineering.  He likes to follow the markets on a regular basis and manages his investment portfolio. He is interested in macroeconomic policies and their effect on economies. Rohit would like to pursue a career in Captial Markets after he graduates from Rotman.
